영어 필수 관용표현이 너무 많은 것 같다. 대략 필수적인 관용표현만 정리해도(막힘 없이 미국 애니나 드라마를 볼 정도) 20000개는 될 것 같다. 한국어와 영어가 애시당초 생각하는 방식이 달라서 그런지 모르겠는데, 아주 단순한 것까지도 관용표현으로 정리하지 않으면 안 될 정도로 그 수가 많다. 쉬운 단어들을 조합해서 표현을 만드는 게, 마치 한자를 외우는 정도로 그 수가 많다. 따지고 보면 영어는 여러가지 의미로 골때리는 언어다. 영어 사전을 검색해서 찾아보면 실제 화용하고는 거리가 한참 먼, 엉터리 의미들만 적혀 있다. 한국의 영어교육 또한 정답을 추구하는 주입식, 사전식 교육만 옳다고 생각하니, 진짜 영어를 절대로 배울 수 없다는 점도 문제다. 영어라는 자체가 규칙성이 안드로메다로 가버..
